Apprentice Mechanical & Electrical Engineers

We have 3 highly sought after openings on our Engineering Apprentice Scheme for 2024 across our 2 sites in Castleford and Pontefract. Our 4 year programme will see you acquire a widely respected and recognised qualification – OAL Level 3 Diploma in Food & Drink Engineering. During the programme you will receive a full time salary, earning as you learn, with a perfect blend of on the job learning at site with your assigned buddy as well as class room study at the amazing Kirklees College campus.

Our Engineers are at the very heart of what we do at HARIBO, and without this awesome function, the nations favourite sweet treats would not be shared in household’s throughout the world.

Our mix that awaits you:

You will work with our on-site Maintenance engineering teams gaining skills and experience whilst completing your Engineering apprenticeship.
Gaining hands on experience with a market leader – increasing your confidence whilst being supported by our team and partner college.
Have great exposure across all areas of Mechanical Engineering in our Production  department – assisting across preventative maintenance, fabrication and breakdowns.

Ingredients that you bring with you:

A commitment to personal development and gaining an Engineering based Apprenticeship
Natural curiosity around problem solving and being solutions focussed
5 GCSE’s at Grade 4 or above –preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively use IT Packages to a good level e.g. Word, Excel 
A desire to work and learn as part of a team
