Arborist Climber / Tree Surgeon

£30,000 to £40,000 plus package

Our client is a well established Landscape and Tree Surgery contractor based in the Chelmsford area. They are currently recruiting additional arborists / tree surgeons to join their project delivery team.

As an Arborist Climber / Tree Surgeon, you’ll join the tree cutting team and play a key role in assisting the divisions management team to carry out work safely and effectively. If you have a keen interest in all aspects of arboriculture and you are looking to develop your skills, the company offer a strong career path within an ambitious organisation.

Ideally, you’ll have experience working in the tree surgery sector covering commercial, domestic and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Confidently carrying out climbing and groundsman duties in addition to driving and towing duties.

* Demonstrating competent climbing skills, rigging techniques and pruning skills.

* Adhering to health and safety standards and best practice at all times.

* Continuously developing your knowledge and skills including your understanding of tree growth characteristics and tree risk assessments.

Person Specification:

* Previous Arborist climbing experience.

* A willingness to learn and a keen interest in all aspects of Arboriculture.

* An individual who is willing to work as part of a team and take pride in their work.

* Qualified up to CS38 and CS39, however CS30 and CS31 prior credentials will also be accepted, and training will be given.

* Full UK Driving licence.
