About THE ROLE

Our stores are the life and soul of our business. They act as our main touch points with our ever evolving consumer base, they are a window to our great brands. As the world of retail evolves, we, as a business, believe that for all other parts of the chain to work, our stores must set the tone of what our two brands are all about.  As a result our locations are paramount, the first class experience must be a given and our in-store standards should never be questionable. 

To deliver this, we strive to hire the individuals who live and breathe the values of our business; who are obsessed with delivering great service to our customers and who truly believe that to remain relevant in today’s world, we must be nimble and adapt to change and evolution. Leading by example, the PVH Area Manager plays a key role in achieving these standards.

They are accountable for identifying, recommending, executing and managing initiatives and efficiencies that support the business structure, strategy and growth. Reporting in to the Retail Director (channel specific), this is a true leadership role responsible for coaching and developing their teams to be the very best version of themselves.

Responsibilities include:

Trade & Sales Generation:

  • Exceed sales goals and KPI targets, monthly, quarterly and annually.

  • Analyze sales reports and data to determine the needs of the business and set business strategies.

  • Track, monitor and communicate business results in commercially succinct manner.

  • Full review of the areas P&L performance, submitted monthly to key stakeholders.

  • Seek new ways to increase business and drive individual store and area performance.

  • Build key relationships with retail for each location, both internally and externally, collaborating with Retail Director(s), Marketing team and where relevant retail shopping centre stakeholders, landlords and/or department stores to identify marketing opportunities to support sales.

OMNI Channel

  • Understand OMNI channel experience in each store based on shopping channel and format and capitalize on relevant digital revenues.

  • Where relevant, deliver action plans that drive OIS (order in store) and look to include all OMNI services as part of the in store customer experience

  • Work with Region OMNI team to maintain compliance across CIS (collect in store) and RIS (Return in store) as well as any other operational elements

  • Where relevant for the area, ensure SFS (Ship from store) and/or order fulfilment targets are met and action plans are in place to support stores that fall below the agreed SLA

  • Maintain operational best practice for SFS (ship from store) orders to deliver the brand customer experience

Customer Service:

  • Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service through brand and channel specific proposition.

  • Resolve all customer queries and complaints quickly and effectively.

  • Where required, identify, introduce and manage any special events inclusive in collaboration with Marketing and PR team.

  • Keep ahead of trends in the market place and effectively monitor competitor activity to maintain a leading, world class customer experience/proposition.

  • Champion and drive the teams to deliver results on store CRM sign ups. Engage the team on the importance of CRM, setting weekly targets/goals to achieve desired results.

Product & Operations:

  • Complete 360 store audits within the timelines set, review results and set actions to ensure stores remain compliant.

  • Utilise our online communication platform, making sure all stores are up to date and compliant on business communications and tasks.

  • Control Profit & Loss through store expenses and maintain budgets, continually striving to reduce all costs.

  • Manage, support and review bi-annual inventories, creating action plans as an outcome.

  • Support, promote and assume responsibility for loss prevention in all areas of risk management, physical security, store cash controls, inventory management, and inter-store communication and loss prevention audits.

  • Work with Store Managers to maintain SKU accuracy, on time, ensuring all stores within the area achieve the 97% result or delivering action plans where results are below 97%.

  • Oversee stores scheduling to ensure staffing is optimized to drive business and meet demands of peak traffic whilst remaining tight to budget. Ensuring all stores are using the correct supporting tools to effectively schedule teams.

  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance and that all stores meet H&S expectations.

  • Utilize reporting and to ensure all salaried team members within the area are compliant with clocking in and out and manage non-compliance by guideline.

Merchandising/Visual:

  • Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies including consistently deliver all brand standards.

  • Ensure SM population attend monthly ‘Model Store’ meetings to understand new product collections, championing the importance of understanding brand visual standards and expectations.

  • Partner with Buying, Merchandising and Logistics to ensure appropriate assortment for the stores and support Visual Merchandising to ensure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction

People:

  • Deliver full Retail Learning System participation within your area, ensuring all New Starters complete induction and relevant learning modules are completed.

  • Continually evaluate the performance of each manager and provide constant feedback to ensure results.

  • Ensure all store/location management are using active objectives, completing Year End sign offs and conducting probation review meetings providing detailed feedback.

  • Resolve all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR when necessary.

  • Partner with HR to review and evaluate management census by store, identifying opportunities to drive additional business through improved staffing structure.

  • Recruit, develop and retain diverse talent, creating an area succession plan. Encourage use of our Workday system to encourage best practice recruitment and performance processes.

  • Be comfortable to regularly travel within your area to ensure you can split your time within each store accordingly. Be agile and adaptive to change travel plans when required is fundamental in order to focus on priority business needs.
