Overview

The Asset Protection Senior Specialist closely collaborates with the Asset Protection Manager and the global/regional team. Responsible for ensuring retail store compliance with Luxottica Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Asset Protection (AP) and security. This is in accordance with existing SOPs and developing new procedures inline with department requirements. This position is responsible for AP initiatives in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark, reporting to the Asset Protection Manager. Our retail business, valued at over £200 million, includes Sunglass Hut, David Clulow, Rayban, Oakley, Oliver Peoples, and partner concession stores in Northern Europe. The role requires regular attendance at the London office and travel throughout the store estate.


Areas of Responsibilities and Related Activities

  • Collaborate with the Asset Protection Manager to define and implement a Risk-based Asset Protection Program in stores, following Luxottica's global guidelines.
  • Work closely with the AP Manager to implement Luxottica's AP Global Retail standard.
  • Develop and continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) of Retail Stores, including sales, discounts, returns, cash management, shrinkage, shipping losses, and theft, to identify critical stores.
  • Lead the Continuous Monitoring Project to detect potential fraudulent transactions at retail stores, with the assistance of technical support for the market.
  • Prevent shrinkage, damage, and theft while proactively monitoring controls to identify losses through POS exception reporting. Lead the project to establish retail store shrinkage, waste, damages, discounts, returns, and refunds control-related KPIs at the store level, effectively reducing total losses.
  • Conduct regular visits to retail stores based on a customized risk-based Audit Checklist to improve shrinkage control awareness, cash losses, and identify process risks and related improvement opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to the Asset Protection Manager on existing Policies & Procedures for continuous evolution and improvements.
  • Conduct training for store staff across all retail Business Units (BUs) to enhance AP awareness and improvement, including loss prevention, anti-theft, store visits, and process enhancement, to reduce store shrinkage and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Investigate fraud, robbery, and theft against the company; manage and oversee the use of outsourced security contracts and security consultant services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Legal departments, the Police, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Possess knowledge of physical security to ensure stores' Asset Protection, including CCTV installation, remote monitoring, and Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems.
  • With the inventory team, hold responsibility for the retail store's inventory counting process, including data preparation, onsite counting, reporting, and follow-ups.
  • Hold regular catch-up meetings with the Head of Retail Business and respective BU heads to update them on AP achievements.
  • Work with partners and vendors to ensure compliance and ongoing support for the business.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and partners for the asset protection needs of the business.
  • Provide necessary support to colleagues in the AP, Operations, and field teams.
