YOUR IMPACT
  • Head of International responsible for the Consultant Relations business reporting directly into the Global co-Heads of Consultant Relations
  • Individual will be responsible for developing the strategy across public and private markets
  • Geographic responsibility will include the UK, Continental Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia
  • You will help drive both public and private markets fundraising efforts with global and local investment consultant firms and partner with the broader Client Business to win new clients and retain existing ones
  • You will manage a team of approximately 8-10 across UK, Continental Europe and Asia
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
  • Build and develop relationships with consultants to further commercial objectives
  • Partner with relationship manager colleagues whose institutional clients work with consultants to position GSAM for sales success
  • Spearhead the creation and rollout of the private and public markets strategy for consultants internationally
  • Support fundraises and co-investment opportunities by coordinating GS' responses to requests
  • Leverage consultants as an extension of our sales force to distribute via their delegated and multi-manager businesses
  • Strategically track progress with investment consultants, including sales opportunities to ensure we are growing our pipeline and conversion rate over time
  • Develop strong internal partnerships with GS investment and sales teams
  • Role-model sales excellence to your direct reports / team and provide people management that helps them improve
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of work experience in either: consultant relations, institutional (pension) sales, client relations, investment/fund consulting, or as a product specialist
  • Proven track record structuring product and/or distribution partnerships across private and public markets
  • Deep understanding of consultant landscape in Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa
  • Ability to develop and drive client strategy alongside senior leaders in sales and investment teams
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to navigate complex organizations
  • Established C-suite (or C-suite equivalent) relationships with both local and global consultants
  • Experience managing an international team which sit in different countries
