Full Job Description

Working within a large Construction Group with this being one of many branches UK wide. My client is a well-known and successful distributor and building products. They are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to join their team.

£3500- 40k a year- Negotiable

Full-time, Permanent (Hours 6.30-3.30 or 7.00-4.00) Mon – Friday

 

Key Responsibilities:
Essential:

  • To assist the Branch Manager in the day to day running of the branch.
  • Assist and oversee with all Operations of the business
  • Ensure our customers receive an excellent service.
  • Management of Administration, Sales, Driver and Warehouse Teams.
  • Train, develop, support and motivate your team.
  • Help to build branch sales and profits;
  • Staffing and recruitment
  • Run an efficient and effective operation by managing the stock and properly utilising your vehicles
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Procedures, ensuring all mandatory training is completed and the branch is a safe place to work.
  • Manging the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

               

Person Specification:

 

  • Strong character with career aspirations to become Branch Manager in the future.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing people.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of working in a sales or customer service role.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • IT Literate to a high standard
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • The ability to provide a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A positive team player, with demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Flexible in attendance
  • Full clean driving licence
