Associate Director – Manage d Frameworks  

 

The opportunity  

 

Project:  To manage a major national public sector framework on behalf of Mace Consult.   

You will undertake business development activity and work with sector teams to drive growth of the framework, identifying opportunities and supporting the teams with the tools to sell the use of the framework via direct award or mini competition. You will proactively disseminate pipeline updates to the frameworks and sector leadership teams.  

You will use your personal approach to manage the overarching client relationship for the framework attending regular meetings, obtaining and responding to client feedback, and delivering on necessary reporting associated with the framework. You will also, where relevant proactively support our sector delivery teams to develop solutions that meet the needs, maximise value and deliver successful outcomes for clients using the framework as a vehicle to procure Mace.  

You should have a good understanding of public sector procurement and framework management, as well as cross-sector industry-wide priorities to support client engagement and securing of profitable projects to meet the sector and framework business plans.  

You will develop an understanding of the full Mace offering and other frameworks on which Mace sits, drawing on expertise within our sector leadership teams to effectively advise clients on the best route to procurement and delivery, in the context of Mace’s strategy for the growth of managed frameworks.  

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Managing the overarching framework client relationship . This includes engaging with external framework team and development managers to identify opportunities, share knowledge and undertake joint engagement activities.  

  • Identifying opportunities under the framework and working with sector teams to pursue work with new and existing clients; working closely with the sector leadership teams to shape proposals and support mini-competition activities; maintaining a pipeline of opportunities for each framework.  

  • Promoting the benefits of using the framework to internal Mace teams through delivery of marketing, events and workshops, providing the tools to be able to sell the use of the frameworks to new and existing clients.

  • Undertaking early engagement and business development activities with clients, sharing the wide range of services that Mace has to offer, drawing on sector and practice expertise to support where .  

  •  

  • Line managing of more junior members of the Managed Frameworks team.  

  • Advising sector leadership teams on the selection of the most appropriate framework for delivery to maximise long term outcomes.  

 

About you  

You have experience of working in one or more of the following fields: public sector procurement, a construction-related industry, marketing, project and/or commercial management. You are a member of a professional institution such as RICS, CIOB or APM. You have a proven track record of generating multi-region cross-sector new business and achieving revenue growth. You have up-to-date knowledge of the construction industry, sectors, and marketplace trends.  

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and work well as part of a team. You will have experience of frameworks in a construction or consultancy background and be keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
