Job Description

As an Associate Director , you will be at the forefront of our efforts to deliver impactful communications, engage diverse audiences, and consult on complex projects. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of exciting tasks:

Communication Maven:

  • Craft innovative communication strategies and delivery plans that resonate with various stakeholders.
  • Shape compelling themes, core messages, and collateral for a broad spectrum of audiences, from digital users to media, local communities, statutory bodies, technical groups, and elected representatives.
  • Skillfully manage and nurture our communication channels.

Engagement Extraordinaire:

  • Identify and map key stakeholders for client projects, devising thoughtful engagement strategies and execution plans.
  • Actively contribute to consultation endeavors, including survey creation, management of stakeholder feedback channels, and insightful analysis, with a focus on Development Consent Order (DCO) projects.
  • Bring events to life, both in the physical and virtual realms, ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees, logistical prowess, tailored materials, and expertly-crafted Q&A sessions.

Client Whisperer:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring impeccable customer service and punctual, accurate reporting.

Business Growth Champion:

  • Play a pivotal role in expanding our stakeholder engagement and communications services, collaborating with teams across the UK and Ireland.
  • Explore and execute new business opportunities beyond our current scope.
  • Showcase your writing prowess in crafting compelling tender and commercial responses.

Project Maestro:

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, project teams, and budgets.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget, all while adapting to evolving circumstances.
  • Foster the growth of junior colleagues, including taking on line management responsibilities.

Qualifications

We are seeking a standout professional with the following qualities :

  • Proven experience in delivering communications and consultation activities, especially on major projects and DCOs.
  • Proficiency in managing teams of varying sizes and complexities, including mentoring junior colleagues.
  • A keen interest and track record in industry sectors relevant to our business (e.g., infrastructure, transport, energy, water, residential and commercial development).
  • A proactive and ambitious mindset, adept at both independent and collaborative work, and brimming with innovative engagement ideas.
  • Exceptional personal communication skills, cultural awareness, and a strong commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
  • A keen eye for identifying new business opportunities.
  • Willingness to adapt to flexible working arrangements and travel as needed to engage with clients and project teams.
  • Hold a degree or master's in a relevant subject or boast a substantial number of successful, relevant experience years.
