Description

We now have an exciting opportunity for you to join Eli Lilly and Company as a Medical Education Associate/Consultant for our Immunology Business Unit in the UK and Ireland. We are specifically looking for specialist nursesl with expertise in either clinical dermatology to deliver high quality medical education programmes to a variety of healthcare professionals.

Medical Education activities are the cornerstone for continued professional development among healthcare professionals. (HCPs) These learning opportunities serve to enhance HCPs knowledge, competence, interdisciplinary team functioning and adaptive clinical decision-making with the goal of empowering the HCP to improve clinical performance and thereby achieve better patient outcomes at scale.  

The Medical Education Associate/Consultant role at Lilly is a customer facing position primarily facilitating and delivering clinical education to healthcare professionals. 

Core responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver exceptional local medical education programmes to health care professionals which support the overarching Lilly portfolio objectives and drive continuous positive customer experiences.

  • Provide training to HCP speakers and support the delivery and implementation of a variety of national educational solutions that meet the highest standards for adult education aligning with accrediting body principles and compliant with our internal policies.

  • Externally develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and other relevant decision makers/stakeholders to enhance our education offering. This may involve attending major scientific conferences (national or international) as required. You will effectively source and manage third party agencies ensuring outcomes meet quality standard and ensure they are achieved on time and on budget.

  • Internally act as a medical education subject matter expert within your respective region working closely with a cross-functional field medical and commercial team. As a part of the broader medical team, you will seek to learn, share and contribute to the capabilities and success of the business unit.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A qualified healthcare professional in the UK / Ireland with significant clinical experience of either dermatology, rheumatology or gastroenterology. Advanced qualifications could include a university degree, nursing degree, PhD or pharmacy degree.  Extensive therapy area knowledge and insights into clinical management within dermatology, rheumatology or gastroenterology is essential.

    • We are ideally looking for a specialist nurse or pharmacist with deep clinical experience and a passion for delivering clinically focused medical education.

  • Experience in structured education programme delivery and facilitation skills.

  • Experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • ABPI representative exam completed or able to complete within their first year at Lilly.

  • Full clean driving license.

  • This role is field based, and the individual should reside within the geography in which they operate.
