We are looking for a Scientist to work with our expert Fibro Advanced Therapies team. Do you have a passion for development of new processes for cell and gene therapy field? Then we would love to hear from you.

You will report to the Team Leader for Fibro Advanced Therapies. This is a lab-based role (~80% of the time).

What you’ll do

  • Plan, execute and report key technical and analytical studies connected to process development for complex biomolecules, including viral vector and/or nucleic acid purifications and analytics.
  • Work closely with a cross-disciplinary R&D team of Biologists, Chemists, Engineers and Material Scientists to support process development activities
  • Provide support to ensure laboratory compliance to Environment Health & Safety regulations
  • Prepare and present data internally in the form of technical reports, presentations and memos
  • Balance your workload across multiple development projects

Who you are

  • MSc in molecular / biology / biochemistry / bioengineering (or related fields), with 2+ year experience of relevant laboratory-based experience, preferably in industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of chromatography unit operations, including scale-up
  • Previous experience carrying out a range of analytical assays (dd- / qPCR, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, nucleic acids quantification)
  • Demonstrated success in designing, executing and reporting complex experiments independently
  • Experience in developing new methods, method validation and troubleshooting is preferable
  • Highly motivated, with a creative and forward-thinking attitude to problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent analytical skills and the ability to multitask and succeed in a team environment
