Job Description

The role will be at an Associate or Vice President level depending on experience. The role sits within Sustainable Urban Finance Team and will support the project leads in providing financial advisory support in origination, development and due diligence of sustainability linked projects across cities, including the areas of energy, mobility, waste, circular economy and others.  

 
The ideal candidate will have a track record of working with project/infrastructure finance. Exposure to project finance and debt instruments and structuring is considered advantageous, but not compulsory. Sustainability focus is not a pre-requisite. The candidate will work closely with Vice Presidents, Managing Directors, a project manager and a pool of analysts. Strong willingness to learn and develop in a growing company focused on climate financiers crucial.  

The candidate can be based anywhere in the EU or UK.  Travel will be required.   

Responsibilities 

  • Working to help find innovative and relevant financial instruments to ensure successful project financing across multiple subsectors and across the capital structure.   

  • Support in financial project risk analysis and provide recommendations and mitigants 

  • Manage the necessary due diligence process, including financial modelling 

  • Overcome unexpected difficulties and challenges to produce desired outcomes 

  • Support colleagues to work effectively with stakeholders in different contexts and from diverse backgrounds  

  • Adapt own approach and style when interacting with stakeholders

Qualifications
  • 5 years+ of relevant professional experience in debt advisory or financing of energy/infrastructure projects (particularly project financing or PPPs).   
  • Experience in originating financial instruments  

  • Financial advisory experience will be an advantage  

  • Specific and relevant experience in developed markets and investments  

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English (C1 level) 

  • Fluency in an additional language is required 

  • Provent project management experience

  • Ability to cope with tight deadlines 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
