SAM in Forensics is a software asset management (SAM) and software licensing practice within EY’s Forensic Discovery and Analytics team (FD&A). FD&A specialises in forensic technology services encompassing eDiscovery, Forensic Data Analytics and Data-led Forensic investigations. Using state of the art tools, our teams support clients with fraud detection, fraud investigation and compliance management.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Our team of SAM and software licensing specialists supports our clients by: (1) assisting in the management and implementation of software license compliance programmes; (2) designing and operating SAM programmes using EY forensic techniques and proprietary technology; and (3) leveraging our Forensic Discovery and Analytics techniques to assist the legal community in handling software licensing disputes.

  • Manage delivery of IBM specific software license compliance projects and SAM projects, particularly those with complex and dynamic requirements
  • Manage relationships with our clients’ stakeholders and relevant teams
  • Provide data analytics support in pursuit of our innovation agenda
  • Drive and promote Business Development activity for the team including pipeline creation, identifying/researching opportunities, identifying and engaging with key internal and client stakeholders, and leading the creation of client proposals.
  • Assist with the Quality & Risk procedures for the team
  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and documentation of internal process improvement initiatives 
  • Promote and develop thought leadership

Skills and Attributes for Success: 
We are looking for someone data centric with exceptional stakeholder management skills and people management skills. You should be passionate about the development of your team members and encourage growth and learning wherever possible. 

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • In-depth knowledge of software licensing, in particular IBM, software license compliance, and/or software asset management
  • Extensive project management and delivery experience
  • A desire to innovate and use the latest technologies to enhance our client’s experiences and to drive efficiencies in projects
  • Experience in delivering on business development activities

Ideally, you will also have:

  • In-depth experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools, specifically Alteryx
  • Big 4 experience, specifically Quality & Risk Management procedures
