The Group Sales Division

We want to be the most agile, curious, data led and forward-thinking sales team in the industry.  Constantly targeting ourselves to grow sales exponentially whilst maximising every sale profitably.  We should understand the market at a macro level to help guide the direction of travel, whilst understanding customers and our business to the minutest detail to constantly drive marginal gains.  Ultimately, we want to foster a culture of growth for ourselves personally, the team more widely and the business overall, serving our authors and the business better.

 

The Job Profile

As Audio Publisher, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to transform written works into captivating audio productions. Leveraging your deep understanding of the book industry, you will collaborate with authors, agents, and publishers to acquire rights for audiobook adaptations, be responsible for the production process from start to finish and ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity are met. You will need to use your experience and passion to help us rapidly expand our audio catalogue and reach new audiences.

 

The Job Role

You will be key in setting the Audio strategy, achieve our budget, and deliver on growth ambitions. You will be able to identify and acquire rights for audiobook adaptations and originals, including negotiating terms and contracts with authors, agents, and publishers.

 

Collaboration with authors and narrators to ensure the faithful adaptation of written works into compelling audio experiences is key, as is building and maintaining strong relationships with authors, agents, and publishing partners.

 

The Candidate Profile

This role requires a blend of creativity, business acumen, and a love for storytelling.  You will be focused and forward-thinking with a track record of acquiring rights and successfully producing audiobook adaptations.

 

You will have an excellent understanding of changes and developing trends in the marketplace, with a working knowledge of the book industry and a strong understanding of genres, trends, and market dynamics.
