Location: Derby
Pay: 55000 to 60000
DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday 8.00am-5.00pm
Holidays: 29
days
Environment: Manufacturing of bespoke automated machinery
Overview:
Due to growth, an experienced Control Systems
Engineer is required to join the team. You will be involved in all
aspects of Controls Engineering including, but not limited to PLC's &
HMI's. You will be required to provide detailed documentation both
during and upon project completion to other engineering departments
and for the end user, such as User Manuals. The company manufacture a
range of bespoke machinery out of their first class modern
manufcaturing facilities.
Key responsibilities of the
Electrical Controls Engineer role:
Responsible for the preparation
of production line control designs, documentation, PLC programs, HMI
programs for production line control systems
The ideal
candidate / Electrical Controls Engineer may have some of the
following, however, please note these are only desirable and not
essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

Experience in control systems design / PLC's / HMI's
- Software
design and PLC software experience - Rockwell/Allen Bradley

Experience in motion control / servo control systems advantageous
- Educated in a relevant engineering discipline
- Previous
experience in all aspects of automation control for automated
machinery in projects
- A strong understanding of sensors, cameras
and conveyor systems.-
Overview of tasks:
- PLC / HMI
Programming - Rockwell / Mitsubishi
- Implementation of Control
Systems Software & Associated Equipment
- Support of existing and
legacy Control systems and Machines.
- Following department
procedures (SOP's) to ensure software is developed in a controlled and
repeatable manner.
- Support of continued machine improvement and
maintenance of Control Systems - including PLC's & HMI's.

Upgrading of Existing Equipment & Integration with new Automation /
Controls.
- Development of Functional, Detailed and Software Design
Specifications from User Requirement Specifications.
- Carry out
Factory Acceptance testing & Site Acceptance testing
- Support the
sales teams using your technical expertise to generate new
business.
- Build relationships with customers to identify their
needs.
