A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Automation Engineer to join a UK known food manufacturer in the Somerset Area!

With no day ever being the same the Automation Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and development of PLC Systems and SCADA Systems.
• Maintaining current functioning control systems.
• Enhance the SCADA system by creating Dot Net, ActiveX and .dll programs
• System updates and firmware updates.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Good working knowledge of IT networking - NAT, ACL's
• Conversant with Rockwell control Logix plc's and SCADA Systems
• Experience in Windows programming
• Knowledge of VMWare vSphere virtualization
