What will you be doing?

As a Design Engineer, you will join Solihullteam to support our activities within the automotivesector.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Utilize CAD (preferably CREO) to create and revise technical drawings.
• Make informed decisions on tolerancing, clearances, and material selection to optimize design.
• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines for the timely release of component designs.
• Adhere to quality management procedures to align with industry standards.
• Perform comprehensive analyses including DFA, DFM, DFMEA, CFD, and CAE to enhance design reliability and efficiency.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software, with a preference for CREO.
• Confidence in defining datums and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Preferable experience with Windchill PLM software.
• A solid understanding of materials and modern manufacturing processes, including carbon fiber technologies and injection molding.
