Full Job Description

Are you an Automotive Electrical Project Engineer seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading automotive manufacturer based in Bedfordshire as they grow their Electrical Department to meet project needs with a Power Supply Validation engineer.

Main Purpose of Automotive Electrical Project Engineer

  • To support the Electrical & Electronic Test team with the validation of:
    • Power supply architecture reliability
    • Circuit confirmation of electronic parts
    • Layout confirmation of the wiring loom and harness parts on bench and in vehicle for functional, performance and reliability.
  • Support the creation and management of test plans and procedures inline with programme plans.
  • Manage the specification of test vehicles ensuring they are available for testing at UK and European test facilities.
  • Complete formal test result reporting to design section leaders and to upper management.
  • Supplier liaison.

Experience / Knowledge for the Automotive Electrical Project Engineer

  • Relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously
  • Degree qualified or have demonstrable equivalent in a relevant electrical discipline
  • Understand electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices
  • Have Harness/EDS layout and application experience
  • Be able to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections
