Full Job Description

Expleo are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a leading Automotive Research and Development Team. Based close to Milton Keynes / Bedford, you will be working within a dedicated team of development Technicians and Engineers on a contract basis.

This is not your every day workshop environment and you will be a key player in the test and development of future vehicles. You will also be responsible for the preparation / building / maintenance of vehicles or components for test, carrying out tests in static and dynamic conditions, gathering test data / results, liaison with Test Engineers,

To be considered for the role of Vehicle Technician, you will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

• Educated to City & Guilds / BTEC / IMI / NVQ Level 3 or higher, ideally in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field

• An understanding of vehicle dis-assembly, assembly and maintenance techniques

• Vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find

• Background in Automotive Electrical / Electronics

• Strong attention to detail

• A working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for report writing

• Experience within vehicle or component test environment is preferred but not essential

• Understanding of component measurement techniques is desirable but not essential

• Valid UK / EU Driving Licence
