Quality Assurance Testing Engineer (Performing environment and photometric testing on Automotive parts and materials)

(THIS IS NOT AN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY POSITION)

Our London, Ohio facility houses lighting and mold design, construction, production engineering, and dedicated associates in our Quality, Assembly, Sales, and Customer Service departments. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Assuring quality, cost effectiveness, and customer and regulatory compliance by:

  • Performing environment and photometric testing.
  • Communicating test results and developing countermeasure plans to resolve issues.
  • Working closely with the new model group to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Maintaining uninterrupted production by supporting all manufacturing departments in resolving quality issues.
  • Ensuring all testing is completed on a timely basis.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing machinery as needed to maintain testing operations.

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
  • You are extremely proficient in Microsoft office.
  • You have excellent mathematical abilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General Office Environment 3 hours per day.
  • Manufacturing Environment 1 hour per day.
  • Laboratory Environment 4 hours per day.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.
  • Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.

Hazards: 

  • While performing the job the position is frequently exposed to moving or mechanical parts and Ultra Sonic Knives.
  • Moderate noise levels with specific areas required to wear hearing protection.
  • Exposure to test chemical, Ultra Sonic Knives, and heat that require proper PPE.
