The Position

We are searching for a high-calibre Back End Developer to join the HBK Physical Test Software team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer to join a team at the forefront of our innovation activities and to benefit from further certifications and industry specific training to grow their career.

We have embarked on a journey to modernise our coding practices, tooling and products so this is a great time to join us and bring your enthusiasm for our drive to continuously improve.

In this position you will join a brand-new scrum team to deliver an exciting new-to-the-market engineering software product. You will undertake SW development activities within a team and be responsible for the execution of a range of activities across the full software development life cycle, in line with our Agile delivery methodology within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Key Qualifications and Experience

Must have:-

  • Demonstrable expertise in C#, .NET and Python

  • Some C++ experience

  • Sound experience of MVC and ASP

  • Experience of working within a fully automated CI/CD cloud hosted environment

  • Good knowledge of automated testing and best practices around that

  • A good working knowledge of secure coding practices

Desirable:-

  • TDD, BDD and Trunk Based Development

  • REACT, Javascript, CSS and HTML skills or willingness to learn

  • Experience of or willingness to learn about working within the Scaled Agile Framework

  • Interest in Engineering especially mechanical engineering, strain gauge applications, vibration or fatigue analysis and signal processing.

  • Curious about AI and about how our technology can change lives for the better
