We are looking for a Battery
Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join a dynamic CAE & Data Science
team. You will work closely with our engineering group on internal and
customer projects, focusing on cell modelling and battery simulation
activities.
This role is centred on pioneering new
technologies in electrification and powertrain performance within the
automotive industry. If you have a solid technical engineering
background and are driven to innovate, we want to hear from you.
Your responsibilities as a Battery Modelling and Simulation
Engineer:
- Conduct system analysis projects across a range of battery and powertrain concepts for both internal and customer-focused opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive battery and powertrain models, and perform thermal and electrical simulation activities.
- Utilise both 1-D and 3-D modelling techniques for detailed analysis and simulation.
- Present analytical results and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, influencing project direction and outcomes.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and insights, offering constructive feedback to the Senior Engineer.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of models and simulations, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications.
Your current
experience which will help you as a Battery Modelling and Simulation
Engineer:
- A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of automotive electrification, including performance considerations for current and emerging powertrain technologies.
- Proven experience in battery and/or powertrain modelling and simulation, with a strong focus on model correlation and validation against test data.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, and related simulation software.
- Exceptional analytical skills, capable of synthesising complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts effectively to various stakeholders.
