We now have an exciting new opportunity to join our team as a Bet Strategist!

As a Bet Strategist, you will provide pre-match, in-play and post-match front-line support to Smartodds and its clients in the form of in-depth market analysis, live data entry and spotting value in the football betting market. You will work closely with the rest of the Bet Advisory Team to accurately place and record bets at optimal times, through the most effective channels and with the most appropriate counterparties to maximise our clients’ betting volume and potential returns on their bets.

This role is a great stepping stone for any budding sports trader, and there is huge potential for learning and growth.



Key Responsibilities

• To offer accurate feedback to clients on market conditions/trends
• To monitor the market and proceed with betting into the market following clients’ instructions in client competitions
• To place bets on behalf of our clients and give general betting advice to them, doing your best to maximise volume at the best prices for both pre game and in play
• To keep BetLog updated at all times, whether this be logging bets for our clients or settling bets on the system
• To provide bet advisory team quality control, including taking regular BAT tests
• To attend team meeting and regularly contribute with ideas to improve the service to our clients

Skills, Knowledge & Interests

Essential

• Fluent in English
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Works well under pressure and adheres to strict deadlines.
• IT literate
• A-level Maths or equivalent
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and meticulous

Desirable

• Passion for football
• Knowledge of the betting industry  and basic understanding of the Asian handicap betting markets
• Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other standard office software
