Job Description

The Goal

As Communications Manager at OpenBet  you will be a key member of the Marketing team; you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our communication strategies, both externally and internally working closely with our Chief People Officer on strategy that transforms the way we engage our teams around the world.

You are a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of effective communication techniques, a creative flair, and the ability to manage and engage with various stakeholders. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and execute comprehensive external and internal communication strategies that align with the company's objectives and values, in close partnership across Marketing, HR and Endeavor Corporate Communications
  • Mine for storytelling opportunities, crafting and sharing those for both internal and external audiences across channels 
  • Develop a communications strategy that builds trust, instills organizational clarity, and positively engages employees throughout their OpenBet experiences 
  • Create sustainable, relevant and meaningful communication and change management strategies, plans and deliverables to support the changes, as well as driving adoption of these changes 
  • Oversee the creation, editing, and distribution of content for various communication channels, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and social media platforms
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and manage crisis communication
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as marketing, HR, and leadership to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment
  • Manage the company's website content, ensuring it remains current and relevant to the target audience
  • Develop and manage employee communication initiatives to promote a strong internal culture, including town halls, employee newsletters, and recognition programs. 
  • Craft compelling narratives that highlight company achievements, milestones, and innovations for external and internal audiences. 
  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in communication to ensure the organization remains competitive in its messaging. 

Qualifications

The Player

Key Success Factors

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
  • Proven experience in external and internal communications, preferably in a managerial role. Betting and gaming industry experience will be preferred
  • Critical thinking and good judgment to quickly recognize and prioritize key issues 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing media relations, crisis communication, and securing positive press coverage
  • Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems, and analytics tools
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative communication ideas and strategies
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in communication.
