Billing Administrator

Location: Central London

Salary: Band 4

Hours : 37.5 hours

Contract : 6-Month Temporary Contract

Are you ready to make a significant impact on patient care in the heart of Central London? Join the Hospital as a Billing Administrator in the International and Private Patients Division, and be a crucial part of their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage patient admissions, supporting the Admissions Coordinator and Manager throughout the patient journey.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a seamless experience for all clients.
  • Support pre-admission clinics by producing timely lists and relevant documentation.
  • Manage admission lists and other documentation related to inpatient and outpatient bookings.
  • Ensure prompt and professional coverage of the admissions team's telephone lines.
  • Conduct training sessions for colleagues on billing processes as required.
  • Process waiting lists, bed booking forms, and provide written confirmation letters to referrers and families.
  • Collaborate with Secretaries and Inpatient Coordinators to schedule necessary tests prior to admission.
  • Allocate beds appropriately using compucare.
  • Act as a point of contact for secretaries and consultants needing to admit patients.
  • Process bookings, ensuring detailed treatment plans and mandatory clinical data are received.
  • Coordinate transport or hotel accommodation for families when required.
  • Collaborate with financial teams to establish funding before patient admissions.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS required
