About the role
The purpose of this role is to correctly and accurately invoice all customers assigned to you, totalling multi million pounds of revenue, adhering to strict contractual and internal deadlines; minimising errors and rework through diligent data management, whilst assisting customers with technical enquires of a billing nature.
ENGIE are recruiting for a Billing Administrator
based in Leeds. This is a 6-Month Fixed Term Contract
role, working full time Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for a segment of the regular portfolio of customer accounts totalling multi-million pounds of revenue, ensuring that all invoices (paper, electronic, EDI, manual) are produced by the contractual deadline and adhere to taxation rules.
- Responsible for clearing any outstanding unbilled position in customer accounts assigned to you on continuous basis.
- To participate in reducing the number of credit notes through accurate invoicing and data management.
- To reduce the number of reconciliations and disputes through diligent data management.
- Prioritise and respond through the appropriate channels to customer enquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- To ensure billing validation failures assigned to your portfolio are resolved in a timely manner.
- To liaise with internal and external parties to ensure that accounts in your portfolio are set up accurately and efficiently in time for each billing run.
- Assist account managers with periodic customer meetings as a subject matter expert, to advise on billing issues pertaining to your portfolio.
Key Requirements
- Proven record of excellent customer service.
- Previous industry experience is desirable.
- Understanding of the billing processes and interdependencies between billing and interfacing departments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to produce accurate work under pressure.
- Good organisational skills.
- Working knowledge of Gas and/or Electricity industry is beneficial
