Are you an experienced Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant based
near Bingham, Grantham or Newark?
This family-run business,
which includes 3 different companies, is looking to bring their
Accounts in-house, as it is currently outsourced to their accountancy
firm. They are looking for a good communicator who will work well with
the operational team in this service-based, multi-site business. The
sites are all close together on the East side of Nottingham and
Lincolnshire border across Bingham, Grantham and Newark and a couple
more in the immediate locality, so there would be some occasional
travel to different sites when needed, but not very often.
This family business is known for looking after its employees very
well and for the long term, and you would still have support from
their accountancy firm who would still manage the payroll for the
business. The role could also be done on a reduced hours or part-time
basis, with a minimum of 30 hours per week, so you would have great
flexibility.
What you will do:
- Managing the Purchase Ledger: Take charge of tracking all company purchases with precision and compliance using Xero accounting software.
- Handling the Sales Ledger: Organise and maintain sales transactions efficiently within Xero
- Monthly Payment Processing: Manage payments to suppliers, employees, and other entities, ensuring they are prompt and accurate.
- Maintaining weekly cash sheets
- Monthly Bank Reconciliation: Verify bank statements against financial records to maintain accuracy.
