Full Job Description

APC has won numerous awards in past years for outstanding service levels. Streetwise Couriers is one of 100+ depots that form part of this renowned overnight courier company. There are 3 Streetwise businesses – Surbiton (Head Office) & Leatherhead in Surrey and Crawley in Sussex.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• To ensure all Sameday, Overnight and International delivery services are carried out to a high standard set by the company.
• Manage all operational staff. This includes subcontractor drivers and sorters.
• Oversee all running costs for the branch.
• Oversee all operations of the branch.
• Oversee company financials.

You should be:

• Confident and hard working.
• Have managerial experience.
• Industry experience essential (must have worked in a managerial position within a courier company )
• Good people skills.
• Able to use own initiative to achieve results.
• Computer literate.
• Able to work under pressure.

Basic salary: £40,000 - £48,000 + Profit Share

The candidate in this position will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of all branch activities. In addition to reporting all financial and operations information to company management, this candidate is responsible for hiring, training, and dismissing any employees at the branch.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial responsibility for all expenses, wages, and asset management
• Identify operational deficiencies and implement plans for improvement
• Create and maintain a weekly report on operations and sales at the branch
• Hire and train all employees of the branch

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business
• 2+ years' of management or supervisory experience
• Experience hiring and training individuals
