Business Analyst - Pensions

Introduction:

Wipro is looking for a Business Analyst - Pensions with solid experience in UK Pensions products. This is a new role which will be at the heart of the growth agenda for the organisation. The role will have a primary focus on TPR (The Pensions Regulator) General Code of Practice (GCoP) which will come into force in March 2024 and will oversee all pension contributions that are received from Employees and Employers (EE & ER).

As a "Business Analyst - Pensions" you will be a part of the Insurance Practice where we help insurance companies transform the way they do business through digital powered customer experience & analytics/cognition enabled business transformation. Our transformation consulting framework enables modernization & complete digitalization of insurance organization. Leading practices include - Sales & Distribution Transformation, POS Transformation, Underwriting Transformation, Claims Transformation.

Purpose of the role:

The role will have a primary focus on TPR (The Pensions Regulator) General Code of Practice (GCoP) which will come into force in March 2024 and will oversee all pension contributions that are received from Employees and Employers (EE & ER). You will be responsible to work with the client stakeholders to conduct the business analysis which is a part of the mandatory change.

Your Responsibilities:

As the Business Analyst - Pensions you will be responsible to:
  • Capture the requirements and scope
  • Understand and map the insurance processes, ways of working, value chain etc.,
  • Collect data about an organisation's operations to improve its systems and processes
  • Process mapping the level required and agreed with the client - but so much so that these can be developed within the scope, time and budget agreed
  • Identify problems and opportunities for change with the current business model, enabling processes, data and technology
  • Analyse the potential impact on the business of recommendations and create business cases
  • Plan, develop and provision of impact analysis to technology- systems, infrastructure, applications, accelerators in line with customer needs, and solution imperatives
  • Provide support and enablement services to the business to help them develop business requirements and design (including mock-ups, wireframes, use cases, demos, mock data etc)
  • Analyse new change needs, change requests, new requirements from third parties and customers/clients
  • Translate requirements into functional and non-functional (performance) specifications
  • Develop BRDs - and other business requirements documentation as necessary with process, data and system mapping at required levels and layers
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
  • Deep Pensions Products experience i.e. not pension systems
  • Experience of Pensions Products charging protocols, processes, regulations
  • Good knowledge on how UK Pensions work - especially the charging mechanism
  • Experience in the Heritage Pension Products (sold 20+ years ago)
  • Highly experienced in dealing with multiple pension products and platforms
  • Previous experience working with large UK pension providers
  • Experienced in delivering large scale (multi-million) change delivery projects in Life and Pensions sector
  • Regulatory change experience
  • Highly numerical as this project will be looking at charges and charging mechanism
  • Experience in Consumer Duty "Price and Value" pillar
