Business Development Manager – North West – Permanent – Oil & Gas / Chemical / Petrochemical / Renewables / Energy

1.0 PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for coordinating Business Development and Marketing activities for this company and providing support to business development

2.0 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

2.1 Coordinating the Business Development department.

2.2 Maintaining Prospects & Proposals Database.

2.3 Completing Notification of Contract forms for new contracts on behalf of proposal manager.

2.4 Monitoring sales KPIs.

2.5 Producing Sales pack for SMM and CCM meetings.

2.6 Preparing agenda and taking minutes for monthly sales meetings.

2.7 Spending the marketing budget.

2.8 Producing proposals and coordinating tender responses from receipt of ITT to submissions of proposal

2.9 Maintaining accreditation and registration with prequalification companies (i.e. Achilles) and monitoring potential leads

2.10 Managing websites for O.

2.11 Managing social media (LinkedIn, Facebook & Twitter). Managing notifications and interactions and curating the online brand.

2.12 Writing and publishing blog and news posts on websites and social media.

2.13 Producing brochures, printed material across all sectors.

2.14 Design and sourcing of branded merchandise for promotional use.

2.15 Producing presentations to support client meetings for sales (and operations where required)

2.16 Formatting documentation across the company to ensure consistent branding

3.0 KEY JOB DIMENSIONS

Ensure personal compliance with legislation, company policy, and Client’s requirements for business development and marketing activities.

4.0 NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

Requires awareness of regional activities of chemical operating companies in the North West, and national market knowledge for the emergent technology sectors.

Requires good understanding of engineering and project delivery processes to produce proposals.

Requires good understanding of commercial and contractual arrangements to produce proposals.

Requires good understanding of digital marketing trends and social media.

Reports to the Head of Business Development and the Sales Director on a day-to-day operational basis.

From time-to-time reporting directly to the job holder, may be other document control / administrators.

From time-to-time the job holder may be required to assist other departments depending upon the individual’s skills and abilities, and in line with the Company need.
