Agenda are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a leading family run business in the biotechnology industry. The role will suit a driven individual who is passionate about building relationships and supporting the business to achieve their goals.

The client has been a leader in the biomedical equipment industry since 2011 and passionate about manufacturing, distributing, and servicing a wide range of biomedical equipment. Their goal is to provide top quality products, ensuring timely deliveries and earning trust.

Basic Requirements:

• Confident, people focused and an excellent communicator and presenter
• Proven proactive can do attitude with a great work ethic
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and written
• Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally
• Excellent IT skills in all Microsoft packages
• Experience in the Life Science industry

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building a strong, sustainable pipeline and achieving set sales targets
• Identify and analyse business opportunities, and formulate plans to capture opportunities
• Develop and maintain key business relationships across the industry
• Understand customer needs and create customised proposals
• Contact prospective customer/partner companies to further explore business opportunities and manage negotiations
• Participate in conferences and networking events, and organise targeted seminars and promotional events
• Proactively manage sales administration process and maintain accuracy of client relationship management database
• Keep up to date with Industry news – i.e. competition, customer, legal etc
• All other reasonable activities requested by the Directors in line with the needs of the business
