A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY, LIVERPOOL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Sales Management and F&B team, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager, with a specialist focus on Restaurant and Bars. This is a great opportunity for someone who has already had some experience within sales, or an events role in hospitality and is looking to grow within a sales position. The primary function is to manage group events and sales for the restaurant and bar, driving covers. The BDM will be an ambassador for the Brand to ensure The Municipal Hotel & Spa – MGallery is represented accurately and in keeping with 5-star luxury service standards, proactively bringing business in.  

Other duties include;

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services.
  • Handling enquiries and bookings.
  • Adding revenue and revenue streams.
  • Driver of content for food and beverage outlets on social media, promotion of events, in partnership with the Digital Marketing Team.
  • Identifying new opportunities including driving partnerships, events and covers.
  • Proactively Managing the loyalty program promotion.
  • Creating and managing relationships with PAs and concierges.
  • Working to support the operation on the floor and in terms of guest relations.
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients.
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends.
  • Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them.
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the Brand, The Hotel and the competition in the industry and positioning.
  • Ability to cross sell all areas of the business such as Bedrooms and Spa.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2 years within an events, marketing, or sales role, ideally within hospitality.
  • Written and verbal English essential.
  • Good use of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Open table preferred.
  • Knowledge of Sales Force, Opera Cloud would be advantageous.
