Business Development Manager - Local Government
Selling Digital Services to Councils
50k basic, uncapped bonus, circa 10k-15k
Hybrid working, 1-2 days per week in Birmingham
Fantastic opportunity to work for a market leading software and data business, to sell their digital services to UK councils. With 90%+ in their niche, you will be prospecting and meeting with council departments, looking for them to replace their manual processes with this business'sdigital services and software.
it is a very compelling sell, with a high conversion rate.
The business in question has grown 20% year-on-year in the last decade, with revenues in excess on 30m per annum. They are a market leader in providing solutions to public and private sector businesses who own built infrastructure.
The role is a true field based BDM role, you will be cold calling, booking and attending your appointments, UK wide.
To be considered for the role, we are looking for the following experience:
- recent experience in a new business sales role, targeting local authorities, specifically councils.
- ideally will have sold solutions, preferably digital, software or data led.
- must be able to drive, willing to go and meet customers at their premises.
- will have a track record in customer demos and closing deals.
- UK resident, UK driving licence needed.
- Hybrid role, 1 day per week in Birmingham office.
