Annual salary: up to £23,795.20

Net Zero Apprentice

Remote- Anywhere in the UK.

Monday to Friday 40 hours per week  

Salary up to £23,795.20 per annum depending on age.

As a Mears Apprentice you will be paid above the national minimum wage for your normal working hours plus time to do your college work with the opportunity to get real life experiences such as being part of net zero projects, getting involved in community projects and improving people’s lives by being customer focused.

About the role:  

This exciting role will place you at the forefront of supporting the delivery of Our Pathway to Net Zero strategy to enable us to achieve Net Zero across Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and across Scope 3 emissions by 2045.

The Net Zero apprenticeship will take around 24 months to complete and result in you gaining an NVQ level 4 qualification as a Data Analyst (details of the programme can be found at ).

In addition, further on the job mentoring and training will be provided on Net Zero to enable you to apply the data analysis skills to support Our Pathway to Net Zero strategy.

You will focus on data analysis to support us measure, monitor, and demonstrate the impact of our activity to decarbonise our business.

  • Support to identify and deliver actions to reduce carbon emissions across the business including embedding a net zero culture and behaviour change Transitioning our corporate vehicle fleet to electric alternatives, and making our offices and buildings more energy efficient
  • Support to measure our Greenhouse Gas carbon emissions footprint and track the impact of our actions in reducing it
  • Support development of data and intelligence to support our clients decarbonise their housing stock

Key Criteria:  

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-player, who enjoys being part of a highly collaborative, dynamic organisation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Ability to absorb information and apply it.
  • Have a positive “Can do Attitude.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with others
  • GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 or A-C including English and Mathematics
  • 2 A Levels (or equivalent)
