Business Tax (Advisory)

Full Job Description

An enthusiastic and driven tax accountant is required to join the Corporate Tax team within a leading firm, based in either Norwich or Ipswich with hybrid working.

You will be managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients and giving tax planning advice, drafting Self-Assessment tax returns, reviewing the returns prepared by colleagues and providing proactive tax planning advice to clients.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a portfolio of Corporate Tax Self-Assessment tax returns
Reviewing corporate tax returns and computations prepared by team members
Supporting the tax managers / partners
Assisting with tax advisory work
Managing workload and client expectations
Working within budgets set at the planning stage
Overseeing staff in preparation of tax returns and computations, providing training where required and assisting with their development
Ensuring the efficient use of appropriate software packages
Maintain a good working relationship with clients
Have an active role in business development, and promoting the firm in the local area
Education and qualifications

ACA, ACCA, CTA (or equivalent).
Significant experience within practice
Experience of preparation of corporate tax returns
Experience of preparing and reviewing technically complex advice
Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
