Are you an experienced 5 axis CNC Machinist seeking a permanent role in aerospace manufacturing? Our client, a leading aerospace company based in Burnley, is hiring a skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join their team.

Role: 5-Axis CNC Machinist
Location: Burnley
Salary: £35090 (inc shift allowance)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Shift Basis: Double Days - 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm

Key Responsibilities:

* Program, set up, and operate advanced 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision aerospace components.

* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models for machining operations.

* Conduct tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to optimize machining processes.

* Monitor machining quality through in-process inspections to meet strict aerospace standards.

* Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance manufacturing processes and solve technical challenges.

* Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in compliance with aerospace regulations.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, ideally with exposure to 5-axis machining.

* Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines (experience with Heidenhain controls preferred but not essential).

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

* Previous experience in aerospace or precision engineering industries is advantageous.
