Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, a number of experienced CNC Millers to join their exisitng team on a permanent basis.
Candidates will be time served CNC Machinists
through a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship, with a
proven engineering background. They will operate, set and programme 3
axis / 5 axis / large gantry CNC milling machines to produce a variety
of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the machine schedule is completed within the required timescales and to the correct drawing specifications.
- Work methodically through tasks whilst ensuring quality is not compromised.
- Follow quality policies and procedures.
- Highlight any quality or production issues to supervision.
- Maintain product traceability.
- Prepare and load materials on machines.
- Maximise machine utilisation with minimum downtime.
- Multiple machines running when requested.
- Mentor apprentices and colleagues when requested.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by supervision, production manager or a member of the senior management team.
Experience / Skills
- Time served CNC Miller.
- Experience using at least one of the following Mazatrol / Heidenhain / Fanuc / Siemens controls.
- Multi axis experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to use various digital and analogue inspection equipment.
- IT skills.
- Offline programming experience with Alphacam would also be advantageous.
