COO

Full Job Description

Our client is a mining technology and processing company, that owns a unique technology.

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to oversee the company's operations and procedures. The COO will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for the construction and operation of processing facilities globally, the supply and mixing of chemicals for use in the process and oversee a laboratory in the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the CEO design and implement business strategy
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Establish operating procedures for processing facilities and the laboratory
• Establish and health and safety policies and culture and ensure compliance by employees globally
• Oversee daily operations of the company 
• Performance and efficiency evaluation of facilities and employees
• Contract negotiations for capital items and major expenditures
• Assist CEO in fundraising ventures
• Help to grow the company through acquisitions, joint ventures, royalty contracts, etc
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors
• Acts as liaison between the company and its clients for quality assurance
• Provide and arrange mentoring and training to employees

Requirements:

• Proven experience as COO or relevant role within a processing industry
• Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• Relevant technical degree and qualifications
