Capital Actuary

Full Job Description

We are working with one of the top BPA firms in the market to add a Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary to their team.

You will be working as part of an exceptionally high calibre team in a fast paced and dynamic environment, providing commercial insight and advice to key teams within the business.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and analysis on the impact of potential new transactions.
• Assist the further development and ongoing calibration of the Internal Model.
• Production of assumptions and methodologies.
• Assist with stress-testing and scenario analysis of the balance sheet.
• Produce forward looking analysis which may be of interest to Senior Management, advising on possible actions.
• Support the ongoing monitoring of metrics e.g. MCEV, IFRS, SCR.

Skills & Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience within Life Insurance.
• Newly or nearly qualified actuary
• Strong technical, functional and analytical skills.
• Minimum 2.1 University degree in a STEM subject.

Location: London

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000, plus strong bonus.
