Home Instead Welwyn & Hatfield are looking for new Care Professionals to join our successful team. We support older people in their own homes to remain healthy, happy and independent and pride ourselves on our relationships with our clients. With minimum 1 hourly visits and small teams of Care Professionals  working with each client, we can provide continuity and long term relationships for both clients and our staff.

We are recruiting people seeking part-time work, with or without previous experience of social care . We can start you off in a long term career within social care even though you may presently have other commitments to children or elderly parents.

We do need you to have your own car because we visit clients in their own homes and travel between clients daily, making a car essential.

We do require all staff to be able to cover alternate weekend shifts.

Job Description

We are pleased to announce at Home Instead that the Welwyn & Hatfield office are from the 1st April 2022 increasing all our pay rates - contact the office immediately for further information.

We are increasing our day rates, evening rates and car mileage rates and this includes (with some conditions) payment to travel to your first client of the day. If you have QCF Level 2 or higher then we will give a further uplift in your hourly rate.

We are now looking for experienced or inexperienced caregivers who can offer us four days a week (to include a Saturday or Sunday) with 3 hours (or more if available)  each day and who can be available between the hours of 4.00pm - 11.00pm, to assist our elderly have their evening meal and get ready for bed each night.

With energy prices, inflation, food bills and petrol prices all set to rise it is an ideal opportunity to earn extra income to allow you to manage budgets in these unprecedented times.

We are now offering:

* Increased pay rates from 1st April 2022 - call now for further information

* Mileage Allowance increased to 30p per mile (payable conditionally from first client visit)

* 1 hour paid holiday accrued for every 8.2 hours worked

Qualifications

We offer Award Winning Training and this will comprise of e-learning modules, easily completed from the comfort of your own home and in-house workshops with our professional trainers. Successful completion will lead to nationally recognised Certificate in Care and an abundance of highly transferable skills.

We do insist you have your own car - essential as we travel throughout the community visiting clients in their own homes.

We also require some weekend shifts to be worked on alternate weekends - our care continues over the weekend.

Additional Information

All of our positions are part-time and we like our Care Professionals to have flexible working patterns that will require some evenings and shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate week-ends. Tell us what you would like to do and we will try to work with you where we can.

All positions are subject to four references and successful DBS clearance.

All positions require the Care Professionals to have their own transport.

You will be expected to work in multiple locations on a daily basis.
