Caretaker Required

Connex Education are working on behalf of a SEN school based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire in search of a Caretaker.

Start date : as soon as possible
End date : tbc
Contract type : Long-term, permanent
Location : Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Shift pattern:   Monday to Friday – 2pm – 7pm or 2:30pm – 7:30pm

Job Description:

• Unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments
• Keeping the school grounds maintained and tidied
• General maintenance, DIY - fixing and put furniture together, painting
• Litter picking
• Assisting with any school deliveries
• Overlooking the schools health and safety. Carrying out fire drills/test.
• Checking fire extinguishers and other health and safety aspects of the schools
• Liaising with contractors and escorting them around site
• Setting up classrooms and halls for assemblies and parents' evenings
• Gardening and outdoor site maintenance - lawn mowing, using a strimmer, weeding, litter picking.

Requirements:

• Must have or be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check.
• Be experienced within the role.
