We are looking for a Casual Fitness Instructor to join a team of distinguished hospitality enthusiasts. Our goal is to create the greatest golf hotel experience in the world and you would be part of the leisure services offered at the hotel.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Casual Fitness Instructor to join the team at Marine North Berwick. Reporting into the Leisure Development Manager you will be responsible for:

• new member gym inductions
• creating tailored programmes for members
• leading weekly fitness classes
• maintaining and setting up gym equipment
• monitoring and maintaining the water quality in the pool, and checking equipment such as heating or ventilation units filters and pumps
• using a computerised membership and Spa bookings database
• upsell and promote our memberships
• meet monthly sales targets as outlined by your line manager
• cleaning the pool area and facilities such as spa bath, saunas and showers
• supervising changing rooms, keeping them clean and tidy, checking lockers 
• dealing with face to face, telephone and email enquiries
• opening and closing procedures of the facilities, as outlined by your line manager

What are we looking for?

• Pool responder/Lifeguard Qualifications (desirable, training will be provided)
• An understanding and sound knowledge of the health and fitness industry.
• Level 2/level 3 Gym instructor qualification (desirable)
• Pool plant/operation experience (desirable)
