Chief Finance and Operations Officer, Learn Academies Trust
Salary: Circa £75k (with some flexibility for exceptional candidates) plus generous LGPS pension
Contract type: Full-time, permanent
Location: Learn AT Central Office

Learn Academies Trust is seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated and financially astute individual to the post of CFOO to join our growing, talented team and to manage Trust finances and operations.
Learn-AT is a leading charitable multi-academy trust of 19 mixed Church of England and community primary schools with 4,000 pupils, 600 colleagues and a current annual income of c. £24m. Many of our schools and our Trust Office are based in and around the beautiful, historic and vibrant town of Market Harborough, which is only 1 hour from London St. Pancras by train

Learn-AT has a reputation for innovation in teaching and learning and is growing the strength and reach of its school improvement and professional development arm, Learn-AT Professional, which works in partnership with the National Institute for Teaching.
Learn-AT has invested extensively in finance and operations enabling us to grow our teams and continually develop business efficiency, estates management, service quality improvements and effective risk management. This allows our individual school leaders and their colleagues to focus increased time and resource on teaching and learning. As such, the team led by the CFOO is integral to the success of the Trust, and the services they provide are valued across the Trust.
We are therefore looking for a CFOO who will be focused on continuing to develop and improve our services, making sure they are as efficient and responsive as possible, and helping the Trust to use our resources as wisely as we can. We are seeking someone who understands, or is willing to learn about, the particular context and challenges faced by primary academies, so that they can work with and support leaders across the Trust.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader and qualified finance professional who is a great team player. You will lead by example with integrity and professionalism. The CFOO will proactively manage our central functions as a key part of our Senior Leadership Team.
The CFOO will directly support our CEO/ Accounting Officer and Trust Board to shape strategic development, drive growth and performance and deliver outstanding financial and operational outcomes. Together, you will help us to achieve the strategic objectives of the Trust and create the right environment in which all of our children and staff can flourish.
