Chief Operating Officer


Are you an experienced operational leader within FMCG manufacturing and supply chain?


Do you have the strategic ability to drive growth in all areas of operations?


Do you have board level experience within a hyper growth business?

MacGregor Black are partnering with an exciting FMCG business on the search for an Chief Operating Officer. This is a permanent role based in Yorkshire.


Key responsibilities


  • Develop and lead the strategic vision of the operations department, with a focus on production, procurement, manufacturing, forecasting, logistics and supply chain.
  • Guide the senior board on all things operationally based.
  • Oversee all aspects of the operational structure, ensuring seamless coordination and integration with other departments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, particularly in preparation for large-scale capital expenditure projects as part of up scaling.
  • Assisting in goal setting and promoting company growth, forecasting trends and patterns and reporting to the board.


What are we looking for?

  • Experience of operating at executive board level as a COO or Supply Chain / Operations Director, within a high growth, fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong leadership and communications skills for mentoring and building teams.
  • Analytical mind, great with numbers and trends and able to locate small areas for improvement. Manipulating marginal gains.
  • Confidence in overseeing large capital expenditure projects and a track record of success in scaling businesses.
  • Degree educated in Technical, Engineering, or related education.
  • Experience in FMCG is preferred.


Salary – Up to £200k + package.
