Office location: Westgate, London (Hybrid 2 days per week in the office)

An exciting and varied position has become available for a full time Client Manager to own relationships for the largest suppliers, packers and processors of meat fish & poultry clients as well as pet food and meat free. The client list within this team represents nearly all of the suppliers of Meat, Fish & Poultry to grocery. Your insight will be treated as a currency to which the industry trades on. You will be responsible for building client relationships through expanding networks and delivering insights that lead to real product, category and marketing change.

You will have the opportunity to exceed your personal revenue targets by working with multiple clients and fostering a close working relationship with the New Business team. There is also the opportunity to coach and mentor more junior members of the team, supported by your line manager, to develop their career.

The varied size of your client base means the right individual would have the autonomy to work independently and have a real chance to impress at a senior level, both within Kantar and at clients. Your average month could involve delivering a Christmas Review to category managers, shaping in store fixtures for the meat free category, measuring the success of the latest product launches and presenting your key findings to the owners of businesses.

You will be joining a dynamic and progressive team who are commercially successful, innovative and one that will provide you with opportunities for further growth and development over time.

Key Outcomes

Insight

  • Be the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, attending and maximising on-site days (when they return). Own all client data requests and project briefs, ensuring a high standard of insight regardless of your clients’ contracted access.
Client Relationships
  • Expand and develop existing client networks through the connections, relationships and trust you build at your clients.
     
Commercial
  • Work with the Strategic Insight Director to create and drive forward account plans for your portfolio.
  • Spot opportunities to increase client access to our Shopper and Consumer data, as well as work with experts from across the business to convert new opportunities and ensure client ROI.
     
Team
  • Work closely with a graduate or client executive in your portfolio to coach them in their development, acting as a role model and feeding back when appropriate.
Capabilities and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Working in some capacity with FMCG brands or UK retailers. This does not have to be experience in market research, we are actively looking to diversify the experience in our team and would welcome applications from those with transferable skills and knowledge.
  • Confidence in extracting and interpreting analysis, and inspiring clients through your insights.
  • You will have a revenue target, experience in showing how you have worked to targets previously.
  • A track record of achieving high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Ability to establish and nurture relationships with clients.
  • A passion for the food industry.
