Clinical Nurse Specialist (Breast) - Surrey - State-of-the-Art Private Hospital - Up to 55,000

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and making a positive impact in the healthcare field? We have an opening for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team in the Oncology department at our hospital in Guildford.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical expertise, supporting the team in delivering compassionate care, and advocating for patient safety and wellbeing.

In this full-time role, covering 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to improving patient care, and actively participate in professional development, teaching, and education initiatives.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Collaborating with the team to provide care aimed at enhancing both individual and community health.
  • Cultivating compassionate relationships within the team, rooted in empathy, respect, and dignity.
  • Continuously enhancing personal competence in delivering effective care and treatments by advancing clinical and technical knowledge and skills.
  • Engaging in clear and effective communication with all stakeholders involved in patient care.
  • Serving as an advocate for patient safety, demonstrating courage to address concerns about care.
  • Demonstrating a steadfast dedication to improving patient care and enhancing the overall patient experience.
  • Taking a prominent role in professional development, teaching, and education initiatives for nursing staff across all levels in the hospital.
  • Actively participating in the hospital's 24-hour specialty helpline rota, providing support and guidance as needed.

What we're looking for:

  • Registered Nurse Level 1/Diploma/BSc in Nursing.
  • Certification as an RN with valid NMC Registration.
  • Excellent clinical knowledge grounded in evidence-based practice.
  • Proficiency in workload and shift management.
  • Mentorship Qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).
  • Up-to-date knowledge in your area of practice.
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability and Standards for specialist education and practice.
  • Mathematics and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficiency in PC usage, including software and systems.
