Clinical Services Manager – Theatre Manager

Up to £55,000 + Bonus

Bath, BA2

Full-Time, Permanent

Set in an area of outstanding beauty, this 67 bed clinic is renowned for providing excellent, and fast access, to diagnosis and treatment for routine and complex conditions. They are a high performing hospital and so they invest heavily in the clinic, currently increasing the number of theatres from three to four to meet the demand of their patients. To enhance their  Centre of Excellence in Joint Replacement , they have introduced a pioneering  Mako robotic-arm system, allowing an advancement in the way orthopaedic surgeons can perform partial and full hip and knee replacements at the clinic

This clinic boasts an outstanding variety of inpatient, outpatient and day-case specialities including; Orthopaedics, Spinal, General Surgery, Urology, Ears nose and throat, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and Dermatology.

Requirements:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration and a Management Qualification
  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically and managerially.
  • Experienced in acute nursing care
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability
  • Able to demonstrate minimum of 5 years’ Operating Theatre experience and undertaken Deputy Theatre Manager role preferably

Responsibilities:

  • To strategically plan the delivery of patient safe clinical care provision of the Theatre service, in line with business needs and responsible for day to day organisation and management of  care provision within the Operating Department while coordinating the management of the theatre team, both clinical and non clinical. 
  • Providing clear direction and leadership to all theatre staff, whilst supporting the initiatives of the hospital.  The role is responsible for development, motivation and performance of the Theatre Team, ensuring the achievement of CQC Standards.
  • Maintenance of professional, cost-effective theatre service including financial management and business planning.
  • Achievement of labour management target, and weekly completion of staff utilisation spreadsheets.
