Clinical Training Manager  

Reporting to the Head of Training this role is responsible for developing and leading the Nurse Team training programs within Coloplast’s UKI Chronic Care division. The Clinical Training Manager will support the Training strategy by developing and leading critical clinical and business training programs and whilst also managing the relevant documentation that supports this. The training programs are a critical part of the UKI Chronic Care division’s ambitious growth initiatives.

This is a full-time position, which will combine working from our Head Office in Peterborough and working in the field. An ideal candidate will have a nursing qualification or significant medical experience in a relevant area as well as strong commercial experience.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • This role is responsible for creation of training content, coordination and facilitation of core curriculum to ensure all new hires are fully knowledgeable of the key focus areas for Coloplast. New hire content areas include a clinical understanding/knowledge appropriate to relevant product area, product knowledge, customer knowledge, key clinical data, business environment information and general market understanding.
  • Supporting the Training strategy by creating and facilitating new hire training and continuing education to ensure the nursing team is fully knowledgeable in the key focus areas of the business.
  • Manage on-going review and improvements to existing training curriculum for Nursing Services, for the Bowel Management, Continence Care and Ostomy Care areas of the business to improve their product knowledge, clinical acumen and competitive environment knowledge where relevant.
  • Leads the development coaching programs specific to the nursing group.
  • Collaborates with local sales management and global sales excellence project teams to develop and assess training curriculum, delivery approaches and overall training effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with marketing in ensuring that the training plan is aligned to the overall marketing priorities.
  • Responsible for coordinating training logistics, including but not limited to: managing stakeholders, managing master training schedules, travel and event space considerations.
  • Together with the Clinical Consultants and Marketing team, develops, facilitates and leads interactive, engaging learning curriculums for the sales organization to continually improve product and clinical knowledge, selling skills, and business acumen
  • Continually monitors new product introductions and new training curriculum and updates, new hire training, as appropriate, in line with Chronic Care business strategy.
  • Responsible for program budgets, tracking and evaluation of educational impact and measurements of learning adoption.  Responsible for obtaining feedback on training programs and implementing appropriate improvements.
  • Executes the training and adoption of the Company’s digital engagement platform as relevant to providing clinical interaction with patients through Virtual consultations.
  • Develops, manages and delivers the relevant training and educational content for the Nursing service via the Company’s LMS system

  • A medical qualification or significant evidenced medical/sales experience in the relevant area is highly desired.
  • Proven Experience in developing and implementing clinical and sales training programs
  • Strong knowledge of training and development theory, design, and principles of adult learning
  • Experience with a combination of hospital, long-term care / home health care, and medical supply distributor / DME call points preferred
  • Leadership experience
