Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, registered by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)? Do you want to make a difference? Under the supervision of a senior HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, the post holder will ensure that people who access our services receive high quality care that adheres to best practice guidelines. The post holder will aim to reduce the distress and improve the psychological well-being of people in treatment.

Where: Camden, London

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £44,912.02 - £50,346.75 per year

Allowance: £4,072.06 Inner London Weighting

CGL points 41 to 46 dependent on experience, pro rata

Fixed term contract until March 2025

Responsibilities

The Role:

  • Delivering comprehensive assessment, formulation and recovery focused interventions to people.
  • Under the supervision of a consultant HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, you will ensure that people who access our services receive high quality care that adheres to best practice guidelines.
  • The post holder will aim to reduce the distress and improve the psychological well-being of people in treatment.   
  • Our model emphasises physical, psychological, and emotional safety and helps people to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment in their lives and in their communities. 
  • The post holder will work to ensure that psychological perspectives are central to everyone’s thinking. 
  • They will support the empowerment of teams and individuals to increase knowledge, skills, and professional confidence around the needs of the people who access our services.
  • Through consultancy, reflective practice, team formulation, training and clinical case management, the post holder will help the wider team create an innovative and effective trauma-informed service. 
  • You will receive regular clinical supervision from a senior Clinical Psychologist and be part of our national Psychology Directorate for reflective practice, peer support, research, and CPD opportunities. 


About You:

  • Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS, or a BPS Statement of Equivalence.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and in-patient settings.
  • Has an appreciation of Change Grow Live’s values, the people who access our services and how everyone can make a difference.

  • Ensures that our focus remains centred on the needs and the views of all who access our services.
  • Has the patience and compassion to work with individuals and teams.
