Full Job Description

Work closely with the CTO and lead a comprehensive cloud migration for this multi-billion-dollar AUM investment manager.

All services, infrastructure and applications are being moved to Azure. With billions under management and a number of established legacy systems, there’s a huge amount of change and a lot of complex projects for you to run and deliver.

Your first six months will be focused on looking at the current landscape, getting a full picture of all technology and putting in place the roadmap to complete the migration to Azure. Longer term, the focus is to modernise the environment as much as possible, including a two day a week work from home hybrid environment.

This is a mostly hands off role, but the closer to the tech you are, the better. You’ll cover the Azure cloud infrastructure, DevOps, plus various in-house developed platforms. Some of these will remain on-prem platforms and part of the roadmap development will involve how you work together with this team moving forwards.

You’ll be given great responsibility and plenty of autonomy, whilst at the same time working closely with the CTO to deliver your ideas and strategy.

In terms of experience, you’ll need to have a strong background in technology leadership, architecture and strategy all focused on Azure and Azure migrations. Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes will also be required.

Starting salary could be as high as £150,000 depending on your experience plus a range of benefits. You’ll be joining a well-established fund with strong values, particular focus on ESG investments and a focus on continuous improvement. You’ll be working three days from a world-class office in the centre of London, with a refreshing, modern approach to work.
