CNC Turner - Programmer / Setter / Operator

Position:  Shift, Permanent

Hours of work: 36 hrs per week – 3 days

Days of work:   Friday / Saturday / Sunday

Overtime: Available, Regular

Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire

Benefits: Workplace pension, Shift Allowance, Individual Performance Bonus, Onsite Parking, and Regular overtime.

Salary: Basic + Shift Allowance + Overtime + Performance Bonus

Based on the above the expected earnings is approx. £38,000 to £46,000

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our team who can program, set, and operate CNC Lathes. These are typically Doosan Lynx/Pumas using Fanuc controls.  The successful applicants will program from technical drawings and completing jobs to the high standards that we have set.  You will be using modern equipment to produce small to medium-batch-size orders in a variety of materials assisted by CAD/CAM. (OneCNC). This role would also suit someone who wants to learn CAD/CAM programming as we can develop the candidate's skills.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of tool selection, speed & feeds, quality awareness and time management.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM is an advantage (development and training can be provided)
  • Be competent in FANUC controls.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Work to tight deadlines.
  • At times, be able to work “lone wolf” under pressure.
  • To have a flexible approach.
